You’re concerned about my happiness, somebody will give me conscience I guess. Years of WTF and onomatopoeia… By the way, if you’re in Beirut, make sure to drop by Onomatopoeia Music Hub in Sioufi.

Dr. Love

Counting flowers on the wall, that don’t bother me at all. Playing solitaire until age 40, with a cancer (perhaps), neither. Now that’s what I call gravity: loss of function, abnormal and excessive. But NASA had obsessions and it paid off; it’s not unusual for have a headache before finding a solution! Someone will say the first step of the cure is a kiss; in other words, food for thoughts.

Gravitational astronomy has started. New light through old windows! I think if my blog has problems in the future, it might be marketing. Because I know I have killer content! You want to do some troubleshooting, make sure you’re not first surrounded by a curvature of spacetime.

The public I try to reach are people who like incidents, because then we will start self-criticising. And that is what separates us from animals: self-criticism. The song I chose appears on an album that was very disappointing for Scorpions but the song is a really good one.

Wind of Change

“Under The Same Sun” is a 1993 song from German hard rock band Scorpions, from their 12th studio album “Face the Heat”. It was produced by the band and the late Bruce Fairbairn and released on the PolyGram label. Not even renowned metal producer Fairbairn could save this disappointing follow-up to the outstanding release Crazy World.

Instead of concentrating on melodic tunes, Face The Heat seems to focus on noisy metal and glass-shattering screaming rather than the usual classic and emotional sounds that the Scorpions have put on their previous albums. Especially when compared to their previous recordings, Face The Heat is quite unsatisfactory.

This album marked their status as a sort of political band. This album had a contemporary touch to it, as the band were then going with the current trends, before later returning to their original style in “Unbreakable” in 2004. “Under the Same Sun” was played during the ending credits of the 1994 film On Deadly Ground, a 1994 environmental action-adventure film, directed, co-produced by and starring Steven Seagal.

“Under The Same Sun” starts in Phrygian mode with a delicate sound of a wind instrument. At first, I didn’t know really why I liked that introduction but Phrygian mode and wind instrument is an invitation to traveling and dreaming. The Phrygian mode incites vehemence and anger, as if you had a dream too big to succeed. The problem here is that we have elements of Phrygian and Lydian mode, the latter is known for inviting to dream.

Scorpions has formed in 1965 in Hanover. Since the band’s inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal. The lineup from 1978–92 was the most successful incarnation of the group. Their best-selling album Crazy World (1990) includes the song “Wind of Change”, a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall.

“Wind of Change” is one of the best-selling singles in the world with over fourteen million copies sold. But I chose to showcase “Under The Same Sun”, because it’s the only song I like from the album. In the single edition, there is another good song, called “Partners in Crime”. Rolling Stone Magazine described the Scorpions as “the heroes of heavy metal”, and MTV called them “Ambassadors of Rock”.

Money For Nothing

I shouldn’t have skipped that part about love. And that part about animality. And I’m looking for somebody to take the weight off my shoulders. Lately, we were talking about Yalta, that conference that ended WW2. Some people will say that to prevent WW3, we should try detox.

There is a moon in that curvature of spacetime: she likes to bend over. As if she was caricaturing. Or maybe it’s muscular crispations: when muscles can’t handle the load of an effort, the load is transferred to bones (where the secret alchemy of humanity takes place).

There are myths about erogenous zone in the human body. Women have several zones but men it’s very easy: the penis. Until you get womanised, or dehumanised. Cynicism in politics is so damn relevant. I hear you: don’t be victim of a foolish heart. Different angle, but the same old game!

Warriors riding bicycles will terrorise the population and we will all suffer now because of that, specially the manufacturer. Forever, bicycles will be associated with that menace. I don’t like riding a bike: it makes my ass itchy and I have troubles moving forward. I don’t understand those people: driving a car is something that pollutes the air, but forever that bike will be associated with surrendering your ego.

Chariots of Fire

When people invented the wheel, they weren’t conscious that, at some point, their invention could be misused. It’s always the same debate about progress and science. Earth is not the centre of the universe, and I am not the centre of the world. When I was elected general secretary of the cosmos, it was a natural choice. I didn’t forget my promise.

I should hold on to that feeling: the sacred and the profane, the pleasure and the pain. But every day has a taste that’s eliminatory, like a defeat. I was trained for that: classical conditioning by the Syrians and their god Pavlov. Pavlov had troubles sleeping when his son died.

Classical conditioning (also known as Pavlovian or respondent conditioning) refers to learning procedure in which a biologically potent stimulus (e.g. food) is paired with a previously neutral stimulus (e.g. a bell). It also refers to the learning process that results from this pairing, through which the neutral stimulus comes to elicit a response (e.g. salivation) that is usually similar to the one elicited by the potent stimulus.

Maybe now, the crystal frontier will help me instead of hurting me. Every trouble has a solution, and I think it starts with that fundamental mantra: not a problem that I can fix, I can do it in the mix. Mixed emotions are very disturbing. It seems they’re here to misinform. I am not Casanova, me and Romeo have never been friends. My unusual libido is telling me that I have no choice but riding a bike for the rest of my life.

Exploration

I didn’t know what I would find by taking a trip to my mind. What I found is that my torturer is still here, and information I get must be absolutely criticised. And now, I am well educated on the subject of fights: I am a sexy motha fucka. If 6 was 9, I guess 7 could be 8. Is it that important? I’m talking about rivalry and vengeance! My fate is in the hands of my heart, and yours: it has always been.

For some reason, you can get accustomed to a certain kind of mess. As if I was starring in Leon the Professional (with Jean Reno and Natalie Portman), I will teach people that life is always like that. But the truth is you’re who you think you are. I am a talented musician and I want to share with you awesome songs, because it saved humanity in 2010. I know: someone will say what is lost can never be saved.

That’s because you have to learn to swim, instead of drowning! The best advice I got from a swimming instructor was: you’re too intense and you falter too easily. Then, suddenly, out of the blue and the purple, I swam 40 laps for the first time in my life! I was 33. Incredible message for our high hopes.

Dolly Dagger

Been riding broomsticks since 14; and I blew out everybody on the scene. But that bike incident is not anodyne: yesterday he was a warrior, the day after he was a little boy. That’s the problem of staying alive! Who knows what might have happened if the 9/11 terror attacks had been avoided? Maybe they would have rode a bike in the FBI or CIA office?

Everybody knows they are in our heads, so make the best of the situation before you go insane. Walk in your mother’s shoes a little: if there is an incident, she will ruminate. Maybe the air is really polluted and it’s dangerous going outside? Or maybe we are all allergic to gluten and we need to change our diet now. Better late than never! The Mediterranean diet in Lebanon is corrupted by nazis, our neighbours.

Tyranny, despotism, everyone knows about it. People from the countryside or from the suburbs of Paris try to give me lessons, but I don’t think they know a thing about war. And how it always finds us again. I don’t want to complain but I feel so sick and tired, and it’s all because of security. Except my guardian angel, who is the most likely culprit in case I never make it back? One word: Almeria, aka the curvature of spacetime.

On Every Street

If you don’t know why, I don’t either. But we have a clue: in France and specially in Paris, money’s too tight too mention. So tight that, when you make an audit, you find strange things like “let’s make a clean slate of the past” or “everything is false”. Why am I so angry at France? After all, Enron also had problems.

The Enron scandal, publicised in October 2001, eventually led to the bankruptcy of the Enron Corporation, an American energy company based in Houston, Texas, and the de facto dissolution of Arthur Andersen, which was one of the five largest audit and accountancy partnerships in the world. In addition to being the largest bankruptcy reorganisation in American history at that time, Enron was cited as the biggest audit failure.

The problem in France and in Paris is that everything is grey: the pavement is grey, the sky is grey and buildings are grey. When rainbows are made of 50 shades of grey, there is not 50 ways to leave your lover, but only one: hygiene must be constant, otherwise identity and dignity will not resist. I was born in the land of the sun, and the tall green grass. And I don’t understand how we come to surround ourselves in a sea of thieves.

Yes We Can, Can

Remember, we all have mothers. Emergency on planet earth is a euphemism. I left the banking industry very much alive, and I never would have made it through that mud without music. Maybe words also! My monolog is very important and I have traumatic injuries from 2006: Israel, Syria and the 3rd man.

We need a man to check us all on out of here, and make a world where gravity should be carefully monitored. Under torture, information must be verified. So I try to make the best of the situation, before I go voodoo. Did you know that in prison, they have something called voodoo death? Maybe when security is near, the magic can go away? What if security is a sponsor of magic?

The graal has been uncovered (conscience I guess): hygiene must be constant, otherwise dignity and identity won’t resist. We are under the same sun. But maybe some people are still walking on the moon. I hope my legs don’t break! Did conscience played a role for you at some point in your life? Make sure to be precise and thorough.

If you liked that post or more generally my blog, don’t forget to go to my about page for details on “like, share, comment and donate”. In other words, this sounds serious and I might give up before being seriously injured by sailing into the mystic.

I saw the morning
It was shattered by a gun
Heard a scream, saw him fall, no one cried
I saw a mother
She was praying for her son
Bring him back, let him live, don’t let him die

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a Heaven in the sky
Why can’t we get it right

’cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can’t we live as one

I saw the evening
Fading shadows one by one
We watch the lamb, lay down to the sacrifice
I saw the children
The children of the sun
How they wept, how they bled, how they died

Do you ever ask yourself
Is there a Heaven in the sky
Why can’t we stop the fight

’cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can’t we live as one

Sometimes I think I’m going mad
We’re loosing all we had and no one seems to care
But in my heart it doesn’t change
We’ve got to rearrange and bring our world some love

And does it really matter
If there’s a heaven up above
We sure could use some love

I've been listening to music for more than 20 years, trying to get a message in each of the 5000 songs I listened to. I'm interested in all topics (sports, art, science, philosophy, health, travel). I connect the dots with contemporary music. This blog will be the result of more than 20 years of work on humanity (ripples in the curvature of spacetime).
