A serious music insight by Red Hot Chili Peppers’ song “Purple Stain” confirms that in terms of communication, what’s important is what you don’t say.

I wanted to talk about California today. That beautiful region in the USA that looks like sometimes the Mediterranean. So much that Spaniards had a strong influence there at some point. I ended up on that subject because I was curious about the city of Santa Barbara.

Why Santa Barbara you ask? That’s because of the famous TV series that was parodied by French humorists who renamed the show “this will bore you” (in French, they’re playing on words). The main idea here is that you don’t know why you’re watching that show.

The heart is an involuntary muscle and at the moment I can confirm that. I am tortured by my childhood sweetheart (who is deceased) and a dance we made in 1992. Unspoken words were understood; it seems she was in love with me. But I was wondering how long I could remain that cute…

When Things Go Wrong With You

“Purple Stain” is the thirteenth track off of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 1999 album Californication. Californication is the seventh studio album by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was released on June 8, 1999, on Warner Bros. Records and was produced by Rick Rubin.

Californication marked the return of John Frusciante, who had previously appeared on Mother’s Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, to replace Dave Navarro as the band’s guitarist. Frusciante’s return was credited with changing the band’s sound altogether, producing a notable shift in style from the music recorded with Navarro.

The album’s subject material incorporated various sexual innuendos commonly associated with the band, but also contained more varied themes than previous outings, including death, contemplations of suicide, California, drugs, globalization, and travel. “Purple stain refers to a double entendre of a girl’s hair dye staining your pillow and a girl’s menstrual flow staining your everything.”, Kiedis states. It’s literally about dealing with a girl on her period.

On Live In Hyde Park, John Frusciante introduces this song by saying, “I really like blueberries. I eat them every morning,” which could indicate that the purple stain is from blueberry juice. The lyrics to this song contain vague pop culture references.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, aka Paris 16th

I was blessed to be accepted in a school where the famous French sex symbol Brigitte Bardot had studied. I was accepted because I had a sister but what they didn’t know is that I also had female cousins that I liked a lot.

Now the family is shattered because there was an American madness and we’ve been told to play the game. I don’t know if it was really an American madness but it was WW3. For educated eyes, it was WW3 and I wonder if it will end someday. Maybe if severity and cruelty would leave us alone, then we could learn from that fight.

Today, life expectancy of a human being is 80 years on average. If we want to go to space, living 800 years in good health is a solution because we travel at 10% of the speed of light.

Patience And Freedom And Loneliness

Space is a surprising place, mostly because it was our home a long time ago. And we decided to never return again. What if I told you I could live 1000 years maximum in good health? Wouldn’t I feel alone?

We thought we were humans but most of us are muffins. Maybe the problem is justice and modesty then. But after several years of hard work, I discovered the code: we have to redefine adolescence but this will take an extra effort. As if I had to leave Paris and never return again.

I don’t want to return to Paris: too much pain, not enough respect. Or maybe that was because I had to deal with Lebanese problems here in Paris, all alone with a wonderful Mediterranean heart.

We All Live In Hollywood, Do We?

Now I’m going to tell the truth: everywhere it’s the same old song. If you’re too skilled, you might end up alone with very few people able to handle the jealousy. But if you’re too strange, you will end up in a category made for dreamers and naive people.

Unspoken words were terrible: they sounded like a bad song from Iron Maiden or Pantera. Anyway, it seems California was named after the famous song of Roland mentioned a word (Californe, Christians were fighting Muslims).

The Song of Roland is an epic poem based on the Battle of Roncevaux Pass in 778, during the reign of Charlemagne. It is the oldest surviving major work of French literature and exists in various manuscript versions, which testify to its enormous and enduring popularity in the 12th to 14th centuries. The date of composition is put in the period between 1040 and 1115.

Sometimes The Army Is The Enemy

As a conclusion, let’s get it on with the war haters. They don’t hate war, they just hate battles that are unfair. After all, what could Japan think after being bombarded by two atomic bombs? Anyway, we know the attack on Pearl Harbor was thought of an infamy.

Hippies used to say we should make love and not war. The thing about war is that it’s everywhere, whether you want it or not. At the moment, a couple next to me is kissing each other and I might think it could piss me off. Thank god I’m too busy thinking about money and that blog.

My former girlfriend wanted to experience a psychiatric hospital but never was woman enough to acknowledge it. That might be why she behaved like a crazy girl and the only sanction was taking pills.

Knock on wood, we’ll all stay good because Hollywood has some influences from Spain, one of the most respected countries in the world. First and foremost, because of its music. I hope one day people will recognize the talent in the 2 songs I showcased on my songwriting website.

Nobody behaves that way without a damn good reason. When your lover is experimenting dire straits, expect some rollercoaster and don’t wonder why you can’t get closer.

To finger paint is not a sin
I put my middle finger in
Your monthly blood is what I win
I’m in your house now let me spin

Python power straight from Monty
Celluloid loves got a John Frusciante
Spread your head and spread the blanket
Shes too free and I’m the patient

Black and white a red and blue
Things that look good on you
And if I scream don’t let me go
A purple stain I know

Knock on wood we all stay good
Cause we all live in Hollywood
With Dracula and Darla Hood
Unspoken words were understood

Up to my ass in alligators
Lets get it on with the alligator haters
Did what you did did what you said
Whats the point yo whats the spread

Black and white a red and blue
Things that look good on you
And if I scream don’t let me go
A purple stain I know
And if I call for you to stay
Come hit the funk on your way
It’s way out there but I don’t care
Cause this is where I go

Knock on wood we all stay good
Cause we all live in Hollywood
With Dracula and Darla Hood
Unspoken words were understood

It’s way out there
But I dont care
Cause this is what
I want to wear
Knock on wood we all stay good
Cause we all live in Hollywood

To finger paint is not a sin
I put my middle finger in
Your monthly blood is what I win
I’m in your house now let me spin

Feather light but you can’t move this
Farley is an angel and I can prove this
Purple is a stain upon my pillow
Let’s sleep weeping willow

Black and white a red and blue
Things that look good on you
And if I scream don’t let me go
A purple stain I know
And if I call for you to stay
Come hit the funk on your way
It’s way out there but I don’t care
Cause this is where I go

Knock on wood we all stay good
Cause we all live in Hollywood
With Dracula and Darla Hood
Unspoken words were understood

It’s way out there
But I don’t care
Cause this is what
I want to wear
Knock on wood we all stay good
Cause we all live in Hollywood

I've been listening to music for more than 20 years, trying to get a message in each of the 5000 songs I listened to. I'm interested in all topics (sports, art, science, philosophy, health, travel). I connect the dots with contemporary music. This blog will be the result of more than 20 years of work on humanity (ripples in the curvature of spacetime).
